Remember the vampires we killed a few sessions back? Remember how satisfying it was? Well, they had friends. Friends intent on getting revenge by attacking Our Heroes (tm) just before they left town. Sadly, what should have been a quick fight lasted over an hour, as everyone (even the GM) rolled abysmally, and Our Heroes (tm) wound up with Con damage and negative levels. Boo! Hiss!

March 14, 2012 )

And that's it for this week. I won't be at next week's game because of other commitments, so hopefully everyone will survive one sessions without everyone's favorite con artist. "The Devil Made Me Do It" will be back in two weeks, when we'll be hot on the trail of the Devil of Envy!
I had to miss last week's session of The Devil Made Me Do It, wherein Our Heroes (tm) managed to kill the Devil of Gluttony. That'll teach me to miss games. On the upside, I was back this week for the aftermath and the precious 54,000 gp reward. (Yay, taking its treasure!) Also, Robert the GM was kind enough to record a few lines of the night from last week, so we're not totally in the dark about what happened.

Oh, and one more thing: level up! Next week, we start at level 7! Yay!

February 29 and March 7, 2012 )

And that's it for this week! Join us next time when we figure out which devil to fight next!
In last night's session, Our Potentially Suicidal Heroes (tm) absolutely failed to find any clues to lead them to the Devil of Gluttony. They did, on the other hand, discover a group of highly active vampires and attacked them instead. Thankfully, there were no fatalities on our side.

February 15, 2012 )

And that's it for this week! Next week, more vampires! More hunting! More disaster! (Waaaait a second...) See you then!
Double-header! I had absolutely no time to write up the lines of the night last week, so this week it's twice the devilish goodness! Our Heroes (tm) have finally found themselves in Torc, the biggest city in the region, where they discover people eating in overabundance, drinking to excess, consuming with... dare we say it... gluttony! Sadly, we have also spooked our one lead in the city and thus find ourselves completely without a plan... pretty much as always.

February 1 and February 8, 2012 )

And that's it for this time. Join us next week when we find out whether Mordilla has left for good, whether the epic feast will reveal the identity of the third devil, and (most importantly) whether we'll make it that long without getting ourselves all thrown in jail.
That's right, friends! The D&D Game with No Name now has a name! Given that the theme of the game seems to be "the seven deadly devils," the games name is now going to be called "The Devil Made Me Do It!" And, this week, we find ourselves inadvertently on the trail of the Devil of Gluttony.

January 25, 2012 )

And that's it for this week. Next week, we continue on the trail to Torc. Will we make it? Will we be sidetracked? Will Gorka'munda actually decide to adopt and foster a baby dire skunk? Join us next time to find out!
Oozes and jellies and centipedes, oh my! Last night's session saw Our Heroes (tm) descend into the sewers below Messeney to find the Devil of Sloth and destroy it until it was tiny little smithereens. Because that's the way we roll. Should we have interrogated it first? Probably, but that just doesn't sound like the sort of thing we'd do.

Also, level up! We start next session at a mighty level 6! Yay for new feats!

January 18, 2012 )

And that's it for this week. I realize there are no actual quotes about either the fiendish centipedes or the Devil of Sloth, so you'll just have to take my word for it that we killed them in a wholly heroic fashion. Tune in next time to find out what happens in the aftermath, and more importantly, how much our shiny new treasure is worth.
Having now dealt with the devil of wrath, Our Heroes (tm) return to Messeney to find everyone kinda slow. One might even say... slothful. Could we have a theme on our hands? Why yes, yes we could! Time to track down the devil of sloth!

January 11, 2012 )

That's it for this time! Next week, the inevitable question: where the heck do you go to find a devil of sloth? Also, will Our Heroes (tm) stay awake long enough to find out? Join us next time for the thrilling continuation!
In last night's session, we discovered that the reigning champion of the underground fighting league -- an orc named Arjuran -- was not an orc at all, but one of the seven devils we were hunting. Colt nearly got himself killed, but that's just par for the course when you try to go rogue and be heroic without telling the rest of the party you're doing it.

In any case, one devil down, six to go!

January 2, 2012 )

And that's it for this week. Next week, the great decision: stay in town to witness the aftermath or continue hot on the trail of the six devils that have thus far evaded us?
Wednesday's session saw Our Heroes (tm) investigate a burning hut in a small farming village and watch an underground fighting league in a big(ish) city. Oh, and Baska broke somebody's leg, just for the heck of it. Fun times all around!

December 28, 2011 )

And that's it for this week. Join us next week, when there will be more fun, more fighting, and almost certainly more destruction. See you then!
Last week, when I was off competing in a storytelling competition, Our Heroes (tm) captured an imp who turns out to have been responsible for summoning seven devils onto the Prime, who in turn killed the angel we found in Kotann. This week, they brought it back to town to interrogate it, and Baska had a number of less-than-entirely-lawful dealings. Also, we leveled up to level 5. Yay, third level spells for the spellcasters!

Dec. 19, 2011 )

And that's it for this week! Next week, we're on the trail of seven devils who undoubtedly can kill us without any effort at all. Fun times, fun times. Join us then!
The good news is Our Heroes (tm) have safely delivered the villagers back to Messeney, where they can wait out the rebuilding of their destroyed town. The bad news is we're no closer to answers... and the animals have all gone vicious. Oh, well. Nothing a little brute force can't fix.

December 5, 2011 )

And that's it for this week. Next week, I'll be away from the game telling stories at the StorySlam (which you should totally attend and cheer me on), so someone else will have to take the lines. Baska will be busy doing "stuff" (technical term) in the city and rejoin the rest of the party in two weeks. Until then!
Last night's session saw Our Heroes (tm) investigate the mystery of the dead angel. As they say, the plot thickens. However, so had our inertia. Finding little of use in the village, we agreed to escort the villagers back to the nearest town, Messeney.

November 29, 2011 )

That's it for this week. As Our Heroes (tm) settle the villagers down to a night's sleep, with absolutely none of our questions answered, we can only hope that next week will be more edifying. Or at least provide an equally rich source of quotes.
From the same players who brought you The Voice of Doom comes a brand-new D&D game... which currently has no campaign name. But it will! Oh, yes, precious, it will! Until then, I'm using a placeholder name that will undoubtedly change within a few sessions.

Speaking of sessions, we're off to a great start, with all-new characters, all-new settings, and all-new quotes! Yay!

November 14, 2011 )

And that's it for our very first session! A dead angel! Whatever killed it is probably still around and just waiting to get to our vulnerable, 4th-level heroes! The suspense! The drama! Join us next time to find out what happens!
