Just a standard run-of-the-mill post

I realize that though I have been posting fairly regularly lately, I haven't done a simple "what have I been doing" post since Sunday. So I might as well write SOMETHING, so my masses of devoted readers (ha ha) know what Julie the Munchkin has been up to.
In a nutshell:
- Monday I went to Ian's, watched the beginning of Raw, realized that I have completely lost track of any storylines over the last year of not watching, and decided to go home.
I believe before Raw there was more Once Upon a Time, which I (yet again) didn't win. We did, however, begin the epic meta-story of Sibamba. I think any time there's a king in any of our future games, his name will be Sibamba.
- Tuesday was my second-to-last SCA practice. I got shown a lot of new poi tricks, hit myself uncountable times with my green fuzzy balls, and finally went with The Gang for tea and cake at JavaU. Had a lot of fun flirting with Tarius, who apparently got asked afterwards, "so what's up with you and Julie?" It's funny because it keeps happening to him. ("So Tarius, what's this I hear...?")
- Wednesday I went over with Ian to Alan and Anna's. The Turkey was, alas, already asleep because he wasn't feeling well, so I made Anna promise to give him hugs for me. We watched the tail end of the Great Big Sea concert -- damn I need to see them live!
Afterwards, over to Place des Arts to play Dominos with Amanda and Ian. I had an insanely klutzy moment resulting in losing one of Amanda's dominos down a very narrow but very deep hole. I feel quite guilty about this. Failing to get ice cream, I went home.
- Thursday (read: yesterday) I went to tea with Yan. Yan has bronchitis and can't talk, so it was a mostly one-sided conversation until Frank made a surprise appearance! We whispered about stuff (because when someone starts whispering, it's just instinct to follow suit), mostly about a suitably dramatic ending to my Dark Ages character, and new characters for a larp Frank's gming: Victorian Ages mortals. I'm SO there, even if my character, well, isn't.
Further last night, gaming with Ian didn't happen, nor did my attempt to write up a Once Upon a Time solitaire story (got halfway through when the phone rang, and I lost the story by the time I hung up). I instead watched Ian play WoW. Specifically, I watched him deal with an idiot who didn't understand that "roleplaying server" means you should roleplay. I now remember everything that annoyed me about New Bremen.
- Upcoming plans: Today I'm going to the bank with Mom to pay my tuition, and then is my going-away party tonight. Tomorrow is possibly breakfast with Tarius and the Dark Ages game in the evening. Sunday is possibly lunch with Kris and Nancy, then dinner with Alex, Sean, and other people. Next week I'm not working... last chance to see me before I leave. I still have free time! Let me know when you want to get together! I leave the morning of Sunday, Sept. 4.
And now, for some amusement, a page out of Rachel's book: An internal dialogue.
This morning, 7:30 -- alarm buzzes
Sir Teddy: I don't want to get up. I want to sleep!
Mika: But I have to get up. I have work today.
Lucky: It's my last day of work. I can be a little late. Hell, maybe I don't need to go in at all today.
Sven: Want... sleeeep.... Smash... clock....
Sir Teddy: Yeah, what he said.
Mika: No, I really need to get up. I want to leave on a good note. This is how they're going to remember me.
Sven: Sleeeep...
Sir Teddy: Pleeeease? Just five more minutes?
Yang: Okay, I'll press the snooze button. But ONLY ONCE. (until the next time)
7:31 -- I press snooze button
7:34 -- mom knocks on door.
me: Wha...?
mom: You awake?
me: I am now. (Ugh.)
