My very first business trip, day 5

The short version: Slow day at the reg desk, followed by my aunt's lecture and a lovely dinner that ended much too late.
I managed to figure out how to get the blinds to close properly last night, so for the first time I actually had a completely dark room to sleep in. It was lovely (if somewhat too short).
The reg desk was slow today. We checked in maybe 60 people over the whole day, which is about a sixth of what we did yesterday. The big news was that Global Toronto did a segment on us in last night's broadcast. Cool stuff.
I got very good at answering the top 6-7 questions people had for the reg desk, to the point where I didn't even need to consult my notes anymore. Still got a few curve-balls (among them: "Do you know where [conference that's not us] is located?", "When will we get our certificates of attendance?", and "Where's Anita the PR Consultant right at this moment?"), though I've been very good about deflecting them to Christian the Event Planning Coworker.
Closed down the reg desk at 4:30, got back up to the room by about 4:45. Played on my computer for an hour and a half, which was great and got me all caught up.
Then I went with my Aunt Ricki to a presentation that was being given by my Aunt Greta on the history of a book bindery in Guelph. It was actually a very interesting talk, and I learned new nifty things, so I consider it a success.
By the time we left there at 9:00, I was very hungry and it was time for dinner. We decided to go to an Italian place my aunt recommended. It was very fancy, the sort of place where the waiter unfolds your napkin and places it in your lap for you, and comes around after the main course and wipes the crumbs off the table. I had a sort of cod-type fish poached in a tomato broth that was very tasty.
Sadly, the service was very slow, and by the time we finished it was already past my bedtime. I got back to the hotel room at 11:15, when I'd wanted to be in bed by 10:30 at the latest. Tomorrow is definitely gonna be fueled by caffeine. I was planning on going to a movie or something tomorrow night (my one free night in Toronto), but instead I might just sleep.
Random self-discovery fact of the evening: Apparently when I'm super-tired, I lose my brain-to-mouth filters. I don't say anything rude or offensive, but I seem incapable of stopping myself from blurting out stories from my personal experience I think are relevant to the situation, even if they're not. I tend to usurp conversations. That's bad. I need to get more sleep. Sadly, it won't happen tonight.
Oh, well. Bedtime.
