A year of unemployment, and I'm healthy the whole time. Two days into my new jobs, and a day away from hosting a big party, and I'm getting sick. *sigh*

Edited to add: In the end, I lasted at work until about 11, and then decided I really couldn't be functional anymore. So I came home and cuddled up in bed until 6:45. I'm feeling much better, though still not necessarily "good."

When I was laid off back in October of 2009, I started keeping my kids home since we couldn't afford daycare any more. They went all the way into February without a sniffle. I get a new job, the oldest goes back to daycare... and bam, all my kids are sick within a week.

Of course, they really should just rename daycares as disease incubation factories or something. I don't think we go a week without some kind of notice from them.

yep

(((((HUGS))) Start pushing Vit.C and garlic. Also, drinking a warm ginger drink helps.

The thing is, I've been having TONS of vitamin C lately. (Some garlic, though less.) Haven't tried the warm ginger, though I might. I've got ginger at home, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Made some ginger tea with a splash of orange juice. Very tasty! Hopefully healing as well!
