Hi all,

This will probably be my last update from Europe. Be warned, I'm feeling silly!

Now, be werry, werry quiet. I'm hunting... lions!

"Foolish girl," I hear you all saying, "you got the quote wrong! And lions are in Africa, not Munich!"

And here I must correct you, my good readers. Because, though I DID get the quote wrong, there are in fact lions in Munich. Many, many lions! That they are made of metal and don't move much is completely beside the point!

You may remember that the last time I was in Munich (God, how long ago WAS that???), I found all these really cool lion statues. They're all painted differently, usually having something to do with the building they're in front of. Last time, I took a great many pictures of these lions, but I KNEW there were more that I'd missed.

So, enter today. I was checked into my hotel room by 4 pm and decided to walk around and go lion hunting. And so I did! I walked for about two hours before my legs started rebelling (hence the internet break). I found at least 15-20 new lions, took pictures of them all, and greatly enjoyed myself. I also passed at least a half-dozen musicians, some of whom deserved both my money and time to listen.

AND I found a beer-fest going on in Marienzplaz! They've got guys in leiderhosen playing traditional German music while people drink beer and eat sausages. It's great! Today's the last day but it goes until 11 pm, so guess where I'm going back to after typing this!

Briefly, a little more about my hotel. I've got a private room in a THREE-STAR hotel across from the train station. It cost the same price as my share of the two-star room back in Pontorson (near Mont St. Michel). AND breakfast is included. AND there's a TV in my room (only German stations, but I'm not really planning on watching). AND it's across the street from an internet cafe (the cheapest I've found so far in Europe). SCORE!

Forgot to mention: lwaxana, you're on the list of people I have presents for.

29 and a half hours to go until I'm back in Montreal. I'm counting hours, now. I've got 300-odd pages of journal entries and 1300 pictures to review on the plane (yes, really), as well as Dan Brown's _Angels and Demons_ when I get tired of that. I should be fine.

See you all soon!
HUGS and MORE HUGS!
Julie

I'm eagerly awaiting your return, oh great voyager.

and read Angels and Demons. This book is even better than Da Vinci Code (which was all too predictable to me and my brother.. ) though it had a better store of symbology.
