To anyone thinking of seeing Avatar: The Last Airbender... Don't. Really, don't. Save your time and your money. Let your mind be pristine with the thoughts of the series dancing happily in your head. Don't let it be sullied with this movie. Just don't.

In my defense, I hadn't read any reviews before I went. The trailers looked good, and I was willing to give M. Night a chance. I was oh so very wrong.

People have been giving him a chance since Signs and have been screwed by that. Big problem which got bigger throughout the media I saw was that there was no humour at all. Even the opening of the cartoon had Aang riding a ball of air and wiping out.

The trailer was completely blue. I know it must have been blue cast because water = blue, but then you aren't respecting the source material.

Hmmm... What about us (me) tabula rasa, who hadn't even heard the word "Airbender" until catching a random trailer. The special effects looked fun, so I've been thinking about going. Considering I don't have any deeply or dearly held thoughts to sully, does it stand well in isolation?
