Hi little me,

We've had a wild ride these past two months, haven't we? Remember all the good times? The Christmas present bonanza at the end of December, the giddiness at expanding our land to nearly four times its original size, the warm fuzzies at all the Valentine's presents we're getting from our neighbours? It's been fun. It's been heady. It's been - dare I say it - addictive.

But now I think it's time for us to part ways. My shoulder's been acting up from all the plowing, seeding, and harvesting. At 331 plots of land, that's a lot of clicks! And you, my poor little avatar, must be getting pretty tired of collecting all that milk from the cows and fruits from the trees! If I've got to click 331 plots of land, you've actually got to do the work! You've been working your pixellated bones to the core! Your poor little virtual back!

It'll be tough, I know. The urge to come back to "just check in" on you is going to be tempting. There's always going to be another lost animal to adopt or free gift to accept. There will always be half-finished projects, no matter when we part ways. But it's for the best, darling. You'll still have your friends on neighbouring farms, and I'll have more free time to see *my* friends, in the world beyond the computer screen.

So this is it. I'm going to do one last harvest today, and then I'll let you rest. Say hello to all the animals for me, and make sure the teddy bears get lots of cuddles. It's the only way they'll grow.

Wishing you all the best,
Julie

Meanwhile, in Second Life, there's an avatar just waiting for you to pour your essence into it...
