It seems that it's been nearly a week since my last "what I've been doing lately" update. So here's another one, for those who are interested.

I've been slowly adjusting to Marc not being around. On the one hand, lack of Marc makes me sad. Especially lack of Marc conversation and Marc snuggles. On the other hand, I suddenly find myself with lots more free time that I had a few weeks ago.

I've been taking advantage of some of that by seeing people I don't usually see -- like Warren & co. Went over there on Wednesday and Kaia "helped" me eat dinner. We had Chalet Barbecue chicken, and I had a little container of sauce to dip chicken and fries and suchlike. Well, Kaia apparently really likes dipping, but (we discovered at least six times) doesn't like the taste of the sauce. So she'd dip a fry, put it to her lips, make a puckered face, and then hold it out for me to eat. It was adorable. I also managed to acquire about 9 books from Warren & co. from the many boxes of books they'd set aside to give away. I've already read one, The Stainless Steel Rat Goes to Hell by Harry Harrison. Ah, fluffy, candy sci-fi. How I missed you.

I also went out to Maz for the first time in quite a while and got to watch one of my more favourite B5 episodes ("Day of the Dead") with Eric and Jing yesterday.

I've been making quite a bit of progress on my personal projects as well: scanning in old cards and letters (just in case anything should happen to the physical copies), going through Eric and Marc's music for stuff I might want to add to my own collection, and putting all my bardic stuff up on Home of the Pocket Bard. I even went shopping for some much-needed t-shirts today, because I was getting frustrated with running out of stuff I liked by the time laundry day rolled around. So now I've got 7 new t-shirts and a nicer top, and and lack-of-shirt woes shouldn't be a concern for a while.

I got both weeks of Pennsic approved as unpaid leave, which makes me very, very happy. It means I'll need to leave on the final Saturday instead of staying until the very, very end, but that's okay. It's nothing I haven't done before. I'll be going down with Jeanne, the same as last year, and am planning on having a very good time. There are only 7 weeks until War, though, so I should really figure out what needs to get done in terms of planning. What to buy, what to pack, what to memorize... so many decisions. I'm just waiting for the class list to come out!

And that's about it for now, I suppose. Surprisingly little on the agenda so far this week, but I'm sure that'll fill up as things progress. For now, I shall say goodnight and go call Marc.

Hee hee! Aww, Kaia, such a silly monkey.
