Time and experience have taught me something insightful about my own personality: the last third of any extended separation (trip, vacation, or, in this case, long-distance relationship) is the hardest. I start missing the things or people far away much more than I did in the first two-thirds of the separation.

I just hit that "last third" point in my seasonal separation from Marc a few days ago. I've been thinking about him a lot. And it's not what everyone thinks. It's the little things. Things like:

- kisses on the base of my neck
- curling up on his couch with a mug of tea and our legs intertwined
- morning snuggles before we get out of bed
- wrapping my legs around his waist -- while upright -- to give him kisses
- watching him laugh
- holding hands

Soon enough, I know. I'll be leaving for Pennsic in 8 days, and once I come back there will be only 2 weeks left. I know already they'll be a brutal two weeks, but I'll get through them, and then he'll be home. Until then, though, it's gonna be a rough ride.

You'll make it. :)

On a different note... if... somehow, I were to make it to this Pennsic, would you be interested in going to Peer-less Bardic with me? And/or possibly introducing me to cool bardic types? My last Pennsic was before I was really getting involved w/ Bardic. I'd love to get to know people.

Absolutely. Stick with me, kid, and I'll introduce you to all the cool bardic people. I'm planning on going to the peerless bardic anyway (Maraha is a dear friend of mine at Pennsic) and would be happy to have yet more people I know coming.

Do you know where you'd be camping?

Very good. Do you know what block that is, by any chance?

I'll be with McGuire's Marauders, N06, right behind Ansteorra Royal and across the street from Aethelmearc Royal. I'll be there as of the first Tuesday in the morning. Feel free to stop by!

Not a frelling clue. They're up on the Serengeti, but, I'm not sure which block. I think they're on the road.

No worries. There's a map at Pennsic that tells the block numbers of every camp. I'll just check when I get there.

What day are you arriving / leaving?

Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones talking, but aw! That's so cute! Don't worry, you'll get all those cuddles soon enough. I can sympathise, I find it very difficult to fall and stay asleep when Leigh's doing a night shift or if we're separated for some reason.
