An absolutely awesome two days

So far, this week has been amazing. Here's hoping the trend continues.
Tuesday's class, despite the early hour and my lack of preparation, actually went really well. The teacher I was replacing left very good instructions, and I was able to keep chugging along for the full three-hour class without any problems. This is so different from when I replaced someone back in January and needed to struggle to make the material last. I guess I've learned a few tricks along the way.
Though my plan after teaching had been to go home and get stuff done, instead I found myself spending a very enjoyable hour having coffee (well, Moroccan mint green tea) with Ian. Then went home.
At home, I was quite productive: got some stuff written (though, alas, not Daily Breadcrumbs, which I know is yet again late), started cleaning the bookshelf beside my desk, which has been bugging me for a while, and just generally did Stuff (tm).
Around 5 pm I left for karate, and had one of the best classes I've had this year. There were only three students: me (an orange belt), Phil (green belt), and Terry (blue belt). Given this situation, we spent the whole class reviewing katas and their applications. It was great. The last time I had a kata-class was back in December, I think. So I was very, very pleased.
I was increasingly pleased when I ran into LC at Lionel-Groulx metro! And our destinations were a mere block or two apart! So I got twenty minutes of LC all to myself. Yay! And double-yay because they were unexpected!
Anyway. The destination in question (at least for me) was an SCA officers' meeting, which I found myself taking minutes at, since our regular minute-taker wasn't there when the meeting began (he showed up about halfway through). Though I normally hate officers' meetings, this one was surprisingly fast and efficient: we were in and out in 45 minutes, which might be a record for us.
Went home, finished cleaning the section I'd started, did about 5 hours of online gaming with my GM from Toronto (an entirely enjoyable session, and I'm very glad neither of us worked yesterday), and got a call from Marc. How could the day have been any better?
Wednesday continued the "good-day" trend. Despite going to bed past 3 am on Tuesday, I woke up nearly on time, and Ian called around 8:30, just in case I hadn't. The weather was gorgeous, so we made plans to go to the Mountain.
But first, grocery shopping with my mom. I like it when I get to go shopping with her, because it means I get some of my favourite foods in the house. Yay house with food! I also walked to the library (about 15-20 minutes each way), just to take advantage of the warm, sunny weather.
I made my way over to Mont-Royal metro, met up with Ian, and headed over to the Mountain with him. We visited the old cairn, did some improptu exterior decorating (mostly involving large branches), and snapped some pictures. About 45 minutes into this, LC called to get together with us. Seeing that he was a mere half-hour walk away, we decided to walk it. (Point of note for Montrealers: the busses the run along Mont-Royal are so slow that Ian and I were leapfrogging them most of the way from the mountain to and from the metro.)
Ian and I spent a great hour-and-a-half with LC, exchanging pictures and chatting. Then Ian accidentally forgot he was supposed to meet someone downtown, so I went over to his place to wait for the impending arrival of the Game of Thrones game players.
It turns out we didn't actually game last night. Instead we had a long, highly enjoyable conversation. Topics ranged from dangerous situations and fights we'd been in, to the appropriate use (and misuse) of the English language.
I got home around 11 and got a call from Marc slightly after midnight. Yet again, another highly enjoyable day.
Today's plan features work at Dawson, karate, and LC's special guest-star appearance at Maz. In other words, it has all the makings of yet another good day, and I fully intend to take advantage of it.
Edited to add: One more thing: I just discovered that the pants I bought before I left for Toronto, I can now take off without undoing the zipper or clasp. The good news: yay for weight loss! The slightly-less-good-news: I now need to find money for more pants. *grin*
