I'm really excited about the (60-minute) lesson I'm teaching tomorrow. It'll be focused around the language of job hunting and include a 10-15 minute roleplay of job interviewing. It'll require quite a bit of prep for the handouts and so on, but it should be worth it.

The annoying thing is, as always, lesson planning. I've got my lesson plan written up in a form that's perfectly understandable to me and (almost) ready to go. I did it on the metro home. But now I've got to go through it and write it up in CELTA-ese, on their form, which will probably take at least an hour. Le sigh.

Editing, 10:52 pm: Who knew preparing for a role-play would be so much work? Typing up the lesson plan wasn't too bad. Everything else, on the other hand, took forever: typing up the readings, preparing two different sets of instructions, creating 8 "profiles" (think mini-character sheets without stats), preparing a matching exercise and vocabulary practice exercise... whew! Some days I wish I were the sort of person who was willing to just do what the book says, instead of coming up with interesting alternatives.

Up-side: I'm very excited about the lesson tomorrow. Downside: I've still got grammar stuff to prepare and photocopying to do. At this point, I vote that it will wait until tomorrow, because I'm too tired to do it now. G'night all!
