CELTA day 3 -- lunch break

Today in class we covered: 1. how to structure a reading or listening lesson (ie: "receptive skills"), and 2. types of language problems, and how to present a grammar lesson (ie: what do you need to do before you start teaching the grammar). I actually am enjoying the more nitty-gritty, practical teaching tips. Of course, I now feel like I need to completely restructure my lesson plan for this afternoon, but apparently that's a normal phenomenon.
For some reason, we were all really tired this morning. I got tea at break, and it kicked in somewhere in the middle of the second lesson. But it was slow going until then, I tells ya. I feel sorry for the woman presenting our first lesson.
In any event: I do my first assessed teaching this afternoon: I'm the last of three teachers. I'll be teaching for 30 minutes, in which I will have the students read some short texts (ie: 70-100 words) and do some exercises based on them, and then draw their family trees (to review vocabulary) and discuss them. This doesn't sound like it would take a full half-hour, but I suspect it shall.
That's it for now. Julie am hungry, and Julie must eating the lunch. TTFN.
