Short morning update

This is just to let everyone know that today's essay in Daily Breadcrumbs is about Genesis 4-7, specifically the sacrifices made by Cain and Abel before the first murder.
Also, I'm still looking for solutions to the content theft problem. If anyone knows a way for me to keep Daily Breadcrumbs public domain while ensuring some level of security, please let me know.

Security only keeps out honest people
Date: 2006-09-28 12:39 pm (UTC)The second thing to do is to ensure that EVERY "DB" article has a statement of copyright at the bottom of it. You can look up stock text for this innumerable places on the web in Canada.
The third option is don't publish via LJ. I suspect, that if you check the ELUA, you'll find that LJ has a "content ownership clause". You might not own what you post here. Do check; do due dillegence. Instead, get a domain called "DailyBreadcrumbs.net", and require a person to subscribe. Part of the subscription is the "Click to Accept" of your own "Terms of Use"/ "Statement of Copyright". They don't click, they don't see. Then distribute by website posting and/or via RSS.
Or you can just say "to hell with it", and keep doing it because its something you like and your posts here are date/time stamped anyway.

Date: 2006-09-28 12:58 pm (UTC)I was considering doing the registered mail thing, and I might still. The rest of it... we'll see. I don't necessarily know how to do the subscription thing, though I'd be happy to learn. More likely, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, perhaps with a disclaimer / copyright note at the bottom of each post.
Thanks muchly!
