Things looking up

I was in a funk most of yesterday. I blame the weather, because it's easier than blaming myself. Even after going to karate, I was in the mood to curl up into a little ball and hide from the world for most of the day.
HOWEVER: a lengthy conversation with Cairn, an hour of bardic with Morgan, and some online cooperative job-hunting with Eric has revived my spirits greatly.
At the moment, I'm looking into a company called Nordia to use as a stopgap measure until I can find teaching / editing jobs. Anyone on my friends' list know anything about them?
Furthermore, a call for help from people who read this: does anyone know of any companies looking for a secretary? I've got 12 months of experience, excellent English, functional French, and learn quickly. If anyone knows of any companies (preferably downtown) looking for people, I'd be tremendously thankful for the tip.
Finally, I've decided that I'm going to start up another blog in a few days. I've been reading voraciously since graduation, and I think I'm going to start putting my book reviews in a separate blog. I love LJ to bits, but it really isn't the right medium for what I want -- too cliquish, and the friends' list format isn't condusive to serious converstaions most of the time. Can annoyone recommend a good service? Blogspot, maybe?
Okay, now back to the grind. I've got CVs to send, people to call, and all that jazz, as the song says.
