Note to self

When I get my own place, high on the list of priorities is a bedroom that receives morning light. Living in a basement means my mornings are dark, even near midsummer... blargh.

That's the best way to wake up: with the sun shining on your face.

Sadly, once you have a setup like that, it makes it difficult to sleep in.

Yes, exactly my point. I'm a morning person, when I'm actually awake for the morning. I'd rather not sleep in, but it's so easy when my room is continually dark.

ahhh. One of the best summers I ever spent was doing summer stock, for peanuts, as an ASM. They'd put me in the attic (literally) with another girl...in a house with no AC. I took one look, said "I don't *think* so." and dragged the mattress into the basement room that they weren't, legally, allowed to put anyone in because it had no windows. Nothing like coming home at 7 am to sleep in blissful, cool darkness until late afternoon.
