Free at last, free at last!

Today, I handed in my last paper and took the M.A. Latin exam. I officially have nothing else to do to get my degree. Yay!
In terms of the exam: I found the first two passages pretty straightforward, the third a bit tricky, and the fourth obnoxiously hard. Going over it afterwards with Eileen (who has now joined the darkside of the blogosphere as
my_tw0_cents), I've decided that other than some stupid mistakes, either we both got it right, or we got it wrong in the same way. Hopefully, that's good enough for a pass.
Regardless, I won't know the results until next week. Could people in Toronto check my results for me? I'll be back in Montreal by the time they come out. My number is M16 (make what snarky comments you like).
Speaking of going away: an important announcement! This Friday, the 21st of April, at 9 pm, I will be having my Going Away Party. Come join me at the Duke of York for a final drink with the CMS hobbit! If you can read this and in Toronto, you're invited!
And now I have nothing to do for almost a week. The plan for tonight is: 1. Go to the World's Biggest Bookstore; 2. Buy George R.R. Martin's Game of Thones; 3. Go to Massey; 4. Read; 5. Repeat step 4.
Whee! I'm free at last!

Date: 2006-04-18 02:18 am (UTC)Um. Anyway. So, great story, oh-god-so-NO! resolution at all. (mind, I havn't read Feast for Crows yet. I'm trying to figure out if I want to read it, which will mean re-reading the other three first to get set up, or swear off it until the series is all out, and then take a three-day weekend to do Noting But Read. You know, in 2010 or so.
But then, I am the person who only just started the Dark Tower Sequence, which I've been eyeing for, oh, fifteen years now, becasue I wasn not going to start reading it before it was done. What can I say, I'm strange that way.
