Back to the dojo -- yay!
Nov. 25th, 2008 08:47 amYesterday I went back to the dojo for my first karate class in three months. Yes, it was the beginners' class, but it was the only thing I could get to. Besides, the sensei's pretty good about separating people by belt rank and having them to level-appropriate work. So even though I was the highest-ranked belt in the class, I still got some personal attention from the sensei and his assistant while I reviewed my orange-to-blue-belt katas. In short: it was great! I missed the dojo *so* much!
Moving forward, I'll probably only be able to make it to the dojo once a week: Mondays for the beginners' class. But it's better than nothing, and I'll keep practising at home.
On an unrelated note, I'm seriously considering looking into those "light therapy" lights that can apparently help people who get the "winter blues." It simulates sunlight and apparently is quite effective. I need to look into pricing, though.
