Jul. 29th, 2007 12:44 pmI will be leaving for Pennsic relatively early tomorrow morning. I'll be lending Ian my laptop for the duration, starting tonight. This means that I will not be checking email, livejournal, facebook, or any other online information for two weeks. If you send me stuff, I'll only read it when I come back. By all means, send me stuff, but just understand that I won't be replying for a while.
I am very, very excited for Pennsic. So many things this year seemed to conspire to prevent me from going: minimal work hours (and thus minimal money), lack of passengers (to share costs), Ian's mom's sickness... it was rough going. The knowledge that I am leaving for Pennsic in less than 24 hours makes me more happy than I can easily say.
I wasn't really thinking about Pennsic in any real way until about two weeks ago. Oh, sure, I was making plans on the assumption that I was going, but a little voice in the back of my head was telling me that I wasn't really going, that something would happen at the last minute to stop the trip. But over the last week or so, I've finally gotten it into my head that I'm going, really going, and I've started to get excited. I'm back in bouncy-happy-I'm-going-to-Pennsic mode, and it's a wonderful feeling.
So look for me on the flip-side in two weeks. I can guarantee you I'll have tons of stories, a bunch of new songs, and a little black book full of new friends. I wait 11 months for Pennsic every year, and I'm amazingly happy I'm going. See you in two weeks!
