I got home yesterday around 1:15 am, and went to bed around 2. I should have recognized the early-warning signs of a migraine, but I was stubborn and decided that I could fall asleep fast enough that it wouldn't hit me.
How wrong I was.
I tossed and turned in bed as my headache got progressively worse. It felt like someone had stuck an ice pick through my right temple, and I was becoming sensitive to light. Around 3:40, I gave up my foolishness and took an advil. Based on past experience, I knew that the headache would start subsiding in 30-40 minutes. I just had to wait it out that long.
And then the unexpected hit. For some reason, my stomach got queasy and at around 4 am, I made a trip to pray to the porcelaine god. Thankfully, I felt much better after that, and the headache did subside (I guess enough of the advil had gotten into my blood-stream by that point). I finally got to sleep somewhen around 4:30.
I slept straight through until the afternoon. Yay sleep. Boo for missing the morning.
Anyway. Today is the last day I'll have a chance to change my money, and the bank's only open for another hour and a half. Off to the bank with me!
