Between the lingering soreness, the cruddy weather outside, and probably a number of other elusive factors, I had absolutely no drive to job-hunt this morning. Knowing myself, I decided to say, "screw it!" and took up a book I picked up at the library yesterday. It's called Cirque du Soleil, The Spark: Igniting the Creative Fire That Lives Within Us All, by Lyn Heward and John Bacon.
Nominally, the book is about the Cirque du Soleil and it's operating mentality. But beyond that, it's about being creative, taking chances, and generally re-awakening yourself to the possibilities around you. It's surprisingly powerful.
I'm still not in the mood to job-hunt, but I am in the mood to do something. I'm not sure what "something" is yet, but I'm sure it'll come to me. Maybe I'll tackle one of those bardic pieces people have requested, or maybe I'll write something for Wyrm Words (our local SCA newsletter), or maybe just go to the library. TIme will tell.
