Right. So after about an hour in the library doing some basic fact-checking, I went over to Andrew's for some more D&D goodness. I won't do the write-up tonight, because it's late, but I will reveal something I've been saving for about a week and a half. You see, being the party bard, I am exposed to most of the exposition, and most of it comes in the way of songs that my character remembers. Obviously, the GM doesn't write these out in verse form, but merely gives the exposition. But I, being my normal obsessive self, could not let this state of affairs stand! I wound up writing a 13-verse song, "The Lay of Ideld." (Ideld being the main antagonist in the game.) Yes, my name is Julie, and I'm a geek.

So, for those who are interested, the song is behind the lj-cut.

The Lay of Ideld )
Today consisted of:

- sweet potato casserole
- easter egg hunting
- Dogma
- The Princess Bride
- practically completing my final term paper

How could this day NOT be fantastic?!?

As an aside, perhaps the only thing weirder than needing stick-glue at 11pm on Easter Sunday is going off on a hunt for said stick-glue at 11pm on Easter Sunday. In the end, I was successful, and even got asked out by a random passerby on the street. (The answer was "no," of course.)

So. Tomorrow I hand in my last term paper (the only thing left to do is glue down the diagrams and add captions), take the MA Latin exam, and then my semester is done. Yay! Strangely, I'm not nervous for the exam. I've been working hard all year, and whatever I know by this point, that's what I know. I won't learn anything new in the next 14 hours that will make or break the exam. I may go over a few old sight passages or some Vulgate tomorrow morning, just to warm up, but I will not panic. I'll be fine, and so will everyone else in the class. The power of George is with me!

M.A. people: who wants to go out afterwards? Duke of York, perhaps?
