First thoughts from the gym
Feb. 11th, 2006 05:15 pmI’ve just come back from my first workout at the gym. Aside from my orientation Wednesday night, I haven’t set foot in a gym for six years (when I took a class at cegep). I figured I'd share my thoughts on the experience, and if you don't want to read them, you can feel free to skip over this entry.

Letters from Lehrer
Feb. 11th, 2006 10:10 pmTonight's thought of the night, courtesy of Tom Lehrer: “It is a sobering thought that when Mozart was my age, he had been dead for two years.”
As the subject line might imply, I went to see a one-man tribute to Tom Lehrer tonight. The writer and performer was named Richard Greenblatt, and it was actually quite a funny (and for me, nostalgic) show. It reminded me how much I love Tom Lehrer's lyrics, how much they're still relevant, and how I can occasionally use funny accents when I sing them. In fact, the most difficult part of the night was NOT singing along to the performance.
And, as an extra bonus feature, someone with way too much time of their hands made a flash animation to the Elements Song. You can see it at http://www.privatehand.com/flash/elements.html
That's it for me. G'night all!
