Random Rambling
Jan. 12th, 2005 08:31 amLet it be known to all that I will be at Trix (formerly known as Lan Jeux) tomorrow night somewhere around 8 pm, after my night class. I invite you all to come as well. If we get enough people, this might turn into the new Cafe Grand or Plutonium, minus the shisha. (I refuse to compare it to Maz, even though Maz is most recent. I don't like Maz and it was too noisy.)
I am now feeling almost back to my normal self in terms of breathing. If nothing else, the doctors and drugs do their job eventually. Thank you to everyone who offered me words of sympathy and encouragement.
In terms of SCA, I'm running an event in 2 weeks and organizing the A&S competition and Baronial Regalia for early March. Of the two, I'm more worried about the latter, as that will require a lot more work from me in terms of organizing other people. Usually this is not my strong suit, but I'm working really hard at it.
Semester is off to a good start. The workload is far lighter than last semester, and most weeks I've got 5 days to do it (well... maybe 4). I'm considering working one day every week or two at the place I worked during the summer to get a little more money before I leave for Europe.
Finally, we had another meeting about the Italy trip last night. We now have a room of 3 people and need a 4th roommate. The two others are a (male) friend of mine and a (female) non-LAC student who doesn't know anyone. We had coffee after the meeting, and she seems really nice. Best part, she (like me) is going to Paris after the trip and has a brother there who she will be staying with. She's offered me to come crash with her: yay free accomodations in Paris! This is just getting better and better!
