I am inspired

eveglassA few notes from today:
1. I finished writing up my first paper. It will need heavy editing (at least two more drafts), but at least I now have something to work with. I've always been better at editing than at writing, and I've got a full day to do it.
2. Monday's Latin is impossible. It's 39 lines, of which I've done about 30. My translation is utter gibberish. Hopefully it'll all make sense on Monday.
3. I had pizza and watched the beginning of Pirates of the Caribbean. I love that movie! ("But... why's the rum gone?!?")
4. Massey's Christmas Gaudy was tonight, featuring many talented bands and singers, and Master Fraser's not-quite-ghost story, which was also great. I have become inspired for a song for Massey's Tea Hut in the spring. The amount of food afterward was decadent and included mulled wine (yum!). Also, I looked mighty spiffy in my sparkly scarf and funky earrings. (And, given that I usually wear jeans and t-shirts, you will all understand how rare this is for me.)
5. Tomorrow's plan is: laundry, paper editing, finalizing Monday's Latin. Anything else is bonus.
