A new game! This time, the PCs are superheroes in New York City, and things start off with a bit of a bang.

The cast of characters:
- Stuart the GM
- "Neon Knight" (an armored, light-based hero, played by Eric)
- Laurie O'Donnell, "Daisy" (a nurse with the ability to locally turn back time, played by Sabina)
- Jonathan Linwood, "Fortunate Son" (an everyman with exceptional luck, played by Robert)
- Victor Waterhouse, "Vector" (a paraplegic scientist who harnesses the power of forcefields, played by Martin)
- Alicia Keyes, "Cortex" (a telepath, played by Julie)

[As all of Our Heroes (tm) find themselves in the same building...]
Man over PA System: "Attention, people. Do not panic. You will not be killed if you follow our instructions."
Sabina: "I'm panicking already."

[All the PCs and some civilians secret themselves away in a storage closet. Neon Knight checks if it's safe to get out through the windows.]
Stuart the GM: "When you get to the windows, you realize they're even less subtle than you thought as you see four or five hovercars with lasers."

[The PCs leap into action by heading towards the security room of the building to see if we can find out what the Bad Guys (tm) are doing.]
Eric: "All right -- bulletproof trumps stealth. I continue advancing."

[Combat ensues.]
Eric: "I'm American! I don't need to aim!"

[Fortunate Son was fortunate enough to find a stapler to hand, which he threw at the head of one of the goons we were fighting.]
Stuart the GM: "He's still got the stapler in his forehead."
Sabina: "Of all the things I've seen today, this is actually one of the more normal ones."

[The goons are working for a villain called the Agent of Change. We manage to capture one of the goons to interrogate him.]
Goon: "He's an agent of freedom!"
Robert: "Oh, God, he's a libertarian!"

[Laurie O'Donnell's power is to roll back time for individual objects and people.]
Neon Knight: "If anything goes wrong, we've got our undo button."
Robert: "Oh! Your superhero name could be Control-Z."

[We discover that the goons of the Agent of Change have taken hostages. We decide to draw away the goons one at a time and attack them in the nearby bathroom.]
Stuart the GM: "You have a good plan and you execute it."
Eric: "'Good plan' may be generous."
Stuart the GM: "What's wrong with it?"
Eric: "It's an internally consistent plan."

[We take out one guard sneakily but are less lucky with the second one.]
Stuart the GM: "If they start shooting hostages every time they hear a noise, they'd run out of hostages pretty quick."

[Neon Knight prepares to shoot one of the goons.]
Eric: "I will set my blaster to kill and feel bad if I miscalculate damage."

[We take out the second goon outside the room with the hostages. All the other enemies is inside.]
Stuart the GM: "It's possible they haven't heard you, if you're lucky."
Robert: "We are!"

[We decide how to make our grand entrance.]
Eric: "Option 1: I kick down the door and go in shooting while the rest of you support me. ...I don't really have an Option 2."

[More of the same.]
Stuart the GM: "You're pretty sure the door is not locked because they had guards on the outside."
Eric: "This sounds like you telling me to do the cool thing."
Stuart the GM: "Do the cool thing."

[Neon Knight makes his grand entrance.]
Stuart the GM: "You see a bunch of hostages and a bunch of guards."
Robert: "Define 'a bunch'."

[Combat ensues. One of the guards gets smashed into a table with great force.]
Stuart the GM: "You hear something cracking. You're hoping it's his armor or the table."

[Our Heroes (tm) have successfully subdued the guards and freed the hostages. The rest of the goons of the Agent of Change escape. As the session ends, we try to decide what to do next.]
Robert: "At the very least, we would want to work in collaboration with the authorities."
Julie: "Really? Would we?"

[Richard Harvest, CEO of the superhero-training organization Harvest Group, offers to bankroll the team as a superhero team.]
Richard Harvest: "This is not a job for people who want to grow old."
Everyone Else: "..."

[As the session ends...]
Fortunate Son: "I'm feeling lucky."
Eric: "That's your catchphrase?"
Robert: "Sure."

And thus we end for this time! Next time... who knows! Probably hunting down the Agent of Change, because why wait for him to attack us when we could attack him!
