Last night, Azlo entered an epic battle with his nemesis one of his nemeses, Swordmaster Horath, while Malik the Godless tried to negotiate with Lyanna and Neyrr (mostly unsuccessfully). We're coming into the end-game, people. Andrew the GM claims that there will only be five more sessions left of Voice of Doom! The players, meanwhile, are taking bets as to how many sessions there will actually be. Current time stands at T minus 5. I'll count down as we go and we'll see whether we hit the double-digit positives.

Anway... onwards!

[The players plan their course of action for the night.]
Eric: "If everything goes well, I won't have anything to do tonight. If I have something to do, it means one of you messed up."

[Ah, the things you hear coming from the kitchen when the rest of the players are involved in another scene...]
Eric: "There's a time to torment Andrew and a time to kill one of your nemeses."

[Sabina, an occasional guest to the Voice of Doom, weighs in on the characters' plan.]
Sabina: "Is this going to be a good idea like the Crimson Phantom was a good idea?"
Andrew the GM (pointing at Eric and Julie): "It was their idea."

[An up-and-coming dwarven cleric wants to do "something" with the death-fruit tree to help his god recover from his coma. Except he won't tell us what "something" is, exactly.]
Neyrr: "You're witnessing an historic occasion. This has never happened before. A dwarf is being evasive."

[Azlo faces off against one of his nemeses, Swordmaster Horath. Azlo, being sensible, immediately surrounds himself with a prismatic sphere.]
Horath: "Let us face each other on the field of honor!"
Azlo: "No."

[Malik is back. Again. And he wants something from Neyrr. Again.]
Malik: "I'm stronger than you can possibly imagine."
Neyrr: "We feel like you're insulting our imagination."

[You know the game has gone on too long when...]
Neyrr: "We're done cutting deals with annoying people in dark armor."

[The thing Malik wanted in particular was an evil artifact called the Ebony Eyes. Currently they're grafted onto Zath's head.]
Julie: "We're not selling you out. Aren't you happy?"
Bob: "That went much better than I expected."

[I'd sent Andrew the GM a two-page-long explanation of how I was planning on walking into the Dark Seraph's army and converting most of his low-level guys. Instead, Malik's planning on attacking them instead and Lyanna chooses to let the two evil forces smash themselves to pieces.]
Julie: "Aw, there goes my cunningly crafted plan."
Eric: "On the upside, now we know it's no longer our top priority."

[I think this is unprecedented in six years of real-time playing.]
Neyrr (to Malik): "We're about to say the single most offensive thing we can think of to say: we don't want to do business with you."

[Azlo's epic fight against Horath continues.]
Andrew the GM: "I'd really like to finish this fight."
Adam: "Then make him dead!"

[Jing's character Aily didn't have much to do this session.]
Jing: "I never do anything."
Julie: "You should be more proactive and make Andrew cry."

[We contemplate the massive end-game battle, which will hopefully be coming up in 2-3 sessions.]
Andrew the GM: "If a battalion of first-level guys came up against you, you'd fireball them."
Eric: "I would love to do that scene in-game."

That's it for this week. Andrew the GM assures us that after next week, we'll have about a year of downtime. I'll believe it when I see it. Check back next time to see if it really happens!
