Why I really, really want a scanner

eveglassI was going through some of my old folders today, and I found a journal I kept for school when I was 7 years old. It's the most adorable thing ever. It's even illustrated.
I absolutely need to scan this onto my computer.
While I'm at it, I've also got some high school journals I kept -- illustrations, runic writing (it was a phase), stickers... the works. Oh, and I've also got souvenirs and postcards from my 2005 Europe trip I'd like to scan. There's a bunch of stuff.
