Today's essay on Daily Breadcrumbs is about the sudden murder -- by God -- of two of Aaron's sons. Sorry for the delay, but we're back on schedule at least until Sunday.

In other news, there's still time to take my test! Please do so! 108 people have me on their friends lists, and I've only gotten 4 test-takers so far. I promise that if I get at least 10, I'll post the right answers and some comments about the various questions.

In other news, some stuff I did yesterday:

Karate yesterday was much better than Wednesday. We went over the same moves (Ro Hai Sho bunkai), but this time I had a lot more personal attention from Sensei Don, and I was working with Phil, who knew his stuff a lot better than the woman I worked with on Wednesday. Yay for that.

Karaoke afterwards was awesome. LC is visiting from Boston and showed up. He tried to sneak past us on his way in (while Ian was singing), but Liz and I tag-team hugged him anyway. The evening quickly moved on to mirth and merriment, and LC was promptly named the catalyst. At one point, when LC was off cavorting with others, Liz turned to me and said (and I paraphrase): "Wouldn't it be great if we rewrote the words to 'My boyfriend's back' to be 'My LC's back'?"

Well, boys and girls, that's all it took for my muse to be set off. Liz wrote up some of the actual lyrics, and within 10-15 minutes, I had a passable 4-verse filk. We had absolutely no idea how many verses there were in the song, but I figured 4 was safe, with maybe a repeat of the first verse. It turns out we underestimated by 2 or 3 verses, but it worked out regardless. The look on LC's face when he realized what we were doing was absolutely priceless. Incidentally, he now has the only copy, so it's up to him whether it is revealed to a wider public or gets buried forever. It's out of my hands.

Also at karaoke, I did some soft-shoe dancing, again with L.C., who proved that he is a masterful dancer. I know this because I got complimented on my dancing, when all I was doing was following L.C.'s leads. I have no idea what I was doing at all. It was lots of fun, though.

I had a chance to chat with many people, got reminded about what an amazingly awesome boyfriend I've got, and discovered Kyn is very, very ticklish. (But you didn't hear that from me.)

Today I wrote up Daily Breadcrumbs and later tonight I'm braving the snow with Marc to check out the Highlights festival. He's jonesing for tire, I'm jonesing for maple milk. We're Montrealers, a little moderate amount healthy pile of snow isn't going to stop us from getting our maple, 'sti!

Okay, that's it for now. TTFN!
