As ready as we'll ever be
Jan. 16th, 2011 05:42 pmAfter a week of illness, including the highly infectious pinkeye, Marc and I decided it would be best to make our house presentable (and contagion-free) for the game we're hosting tonight. Yesterday, we did five loads of laundry, including all the towels and sheets. Today, we took a bleach solution to pretty much every commonly-touched surface in the house (doorknobs, light switches, etc.) and cleaned up the last remaining bits from last week's fondue party. (Except, oddly, the fondue pots themselves. Which is another story.)
Moreover, just because, I baked up a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies. Because everything is better with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, even lingering illnesses. I must say, I'm getting much better at this whole "baking" thing. Which is both good for my taste buds and dangerous for my waistline.
