Mar. 19th, 2010 10:11 pm1. OK Go - This Too Shall Pass (4-minute video) -- I am in awe of this machine. Really, it's worth your four minutes just to look at it and go "whoa."
2. Gaming can make a better world (20-minute TED talk video by Jane McGonigal) -- Can World of Warcraft save the world? Maybe. I have to admit, I'm inspired by this one and really want to see what her next project is going to be.
3. Chat Roulette Funny Piano Improv (5-minute video) -- a guy on Chat Roulette sets up his camera in front of his piano and improvs based on the people who log in to chat with him. Hilarious.
4. Mind-boggling photo manipulations (pictures) -- some really cool stuff here. I'm a sucker for well-done photoshops that make the impossible look possible.
5. A trailer for every Academy Award winning movie ever (3.5-minute video) -- it's funny because it's true. You need to have watched a lot of movies for this to be truly funny, but if you have, it's great.
6. Vegetarians, from the other point of view (2-minute video) -- an absolutely brilliant spoof on all those times a vegetarian has been told "we don't do vegetarian in this house." This time, a meat-eater tries to convince his vegetarian host that meat-eating is the more ethical choice!
7. What Shamu taught me about a happy marriage -- an exotic animal trainer decides to use animal-training techniques on that most common of creatures, the American husband. (I expect you could use it on the American wife, too. Or any husband or wife.)
