It finally happened

After over a year of working at a subtitling company, I stopped by my mom's room as she was watching TV and realized, "I worked on this." Since I don't watch a lot of TV, this was the first time such a thing has happened to me.

It was kind of surreal, actually.

Pissed off

I made plans tonight. For 6:30. I was going to get a lift over from a friend who lives nearby, so I wouldn't need to take the metro all the way to Acadie. Normally I get out of work at 6:15. Sometimes on Friday I leave early if I finish my files before quitting time.

At least three times this afternoon, I've been asked to take on extra work. Fine, no problem.

Around 5:30, I was given one hell of a revision to do. It looks like it'll take me until at least 7:00.

So now not only am I going to be late, but my lift is leaving without me. I don't blame him. I told him to do it. I'm just really, really pissed that this got foisted on me at the last minute.
