Reminder: Heather Dale house concert is THIS SUNDAY

Just a reminder that the Heather Dale house concert is in only two days! Here's a repost of the announcement, in case you missed it:

It's time for another invitation! Join Heather Dale, Ben Deschamps, and the two other members of the Heather Dale Quartet in an intimidate, living-room environment at my house. There will be munchies available, but more are always welcome.

It's on July 5th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Doors open at 1:30.

After the concert, if people are interested, we might let our hair down for a jam session / bardic circle. That's right! A bardic circle with Heather Dale herself!

Come for the music! Come for the munchies! Come because you know you want to!

Suggested donation: $10-15.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all...

When working on files that are going to be translated, we need to put in notes to the translators for slang and idioms and stuff like that. If someone said, "piece of cake," for example, I'd note that as "piece of cake = very easy."

In one of my files today, there's a woman who is doing something adventurous and yells out, "Yabba-dabba-doo!"

The person who worked on the file before me put in this helpful note to the translators: "Yabba-dabba-doo! - A sound often heard when cavemen copulate with their wives"

The mind boggles. Just... boggles.
