Event report: Crown Tournament

I'd been planning on sleeping over at least one night near Crown, but circumstances conspired against me. Instead, I found myself out the door at 8 am for what would turn out to be a long day-trip. By 8:22 I had gas in my car and was hitting the highway, and I reached the event site three hours (almost to the minute) later. The border crossing was fast and easy, and the only problem with the whole trip is that my windshield wipers weren't sticking to the windshield particularly well, leaving a large smear of water in front of my eyes. No matter. The important thing is that I got to the site.

I know my life has changed when...

...there's an SCA schola tonight and I'm not even planning on attending. I could, but somehow it seems more important to run errands and spend a night either by myself at home or with Marc.

Two years ago, I'd have been *organizing* these things.

On an unrelated time-management note, I really, really miss karate. But, yet again, not enough to give up my Monday night for it. *sigh*

On a third unrelated time-management note, I'm incredibly pleased at the speed I've been completing my files today. Of course, in a "no good deed goes unpunished" turn, I now have more files. Of course.

Onwards, then.
