2. How to bullyproof your child -- I'm not a parent, but this is a thought-provoking article. The general thesis is that instead of telling children to run to authority figures, they should avoid giving bullies what they want, ie: a breakdown. Instead, through roleplaying, they should learn how to deal with bullies without getting upset, and thus disarming their aggressor.
3. On your marks, get set, Lego! (pictures) -- some people have too much time on their hands. These people made a reproduction of the Beijing Olympics in Lego. Really elaborate Lego.
4. Awesome shadow performance (4-minute video) -- this is really, really cool. Multi-person, awesome shadow performances.
5. I just discovered something I've been doing wrong -- the short version: don't tell someone a task is "easy" or "no big deal" if it obviously isn't for the person you're talking to. Similarly, don't ask for "just a small favour" if you know it's something they won't want to do.
