Timing Beowulf

Would you believe that in all the time I've been performing Rathflaed's Beowulf, I've never actually timed it to see how long it takes? I've timed all my other prose / poetry pieces, but not this one.

So today, along with my trusty mirror-audience, I took out my timer and ran through the whole thing.

Survey says: five minutes and one second, not counting pauses for laughter. Actually right around the perfect length for a circle. Yay!
