Though the 2-hour time difference between here and Montana certainly sucks at times, it's very useful when you need someone to rant to at 1 in the morning and don't want to wake up your friends who are already asleep.
Today I spent almost 11 hours helping Ian move. This is not counting the hours I spent over the last week or so. I think we did 4-5 car trips, just the two of us. He did more of the heavy lifting than I did, but I did some, and I did muchly packing and unpacking. On the up-side, everything is now out of his old apartment and into his new one.

I'd like to say, "if I don't see another moving box for the next 2 years, I'll be happy," but I'm helping Warren, Blue, and Jbash move on Sunday, and then I'm moving my own stuff to another bedroom next Tuesday.

But soon... soon there will be no more boxes.
Since September or so, when my grandmother passed away, I'd been aware that I'd be getting a modest inheritance cheque, once all the paperwork had been taken care of. After a number of repetitions of "it's almost ready," I finally had the cheque in my hands on the 13th.

One of these days, I might actually get the funds into my account. Read on to see the tragicomedy of frustration with my bank. )

One of these days, I'll actually have access to this money, I'm sure. Grumble, grumble.
