The good and the bad
Oct. 29th, 2007 02:08 pmThe good: I got to wake up to Marc-snuggles for the first time in several weeks. This makes me very, very happy.
The bad: This morning, I realized about 4 metro stops (15 minutes) away from my house that I had forgotten my textbooks at home. Yes, I suppose I could have taught a class without my textbooks or lesson plan, but it would have been very unprofessional and probably wouldn't have gone well. So making a snap decision, I got off the metro and came home, grabbed my books, tried and failed to use #TAXI, found a taxi at the nearby shopping mall, and (together with Marc) taxied my way downtown. Marc is amazing for both putting up with me during all this stress and also spotting me the money to pay for the taxi, because I had no cash on me.
Long story short, I got to work with 3 minutes to spare. Go me.
Tonight: lesson planning, more teaching, Heroes, Journeyman, and time spent with good friends.
