Time for a quickie?
Jun. 16th, 2007 02:24 pmYesterday I had lunch with my dad at a very-tasty-but-oh-so-bad-for-me steakhouse called Bofinger. It's on Sherbrooke, a block further away from Decarie than Maz.
Also yesterday was Dude's game, set aboard the ship Silver Wind and crewed by House Goodbrother (read: Ian, Sam, Kyn, Bethan, and Jeff). It was fun, though I'm always somewhat worried that people will be bored in court. I can never tell, because I (being the herald) know what's coming up. I also got to perform the Boreal Army Muster (hat tip to Chiara), which was very well received.
After the game, I brought out my bardic request sheet and started performing for Kyn. He handed back the sheet at one point, saying, "If I keep this, I'm going to make you perform all night." I handed it back to him, saying, "I will perform for anything but explicit hostility. If you want me to keep singing, just keep picking songs." So he did. We were joined by Dude and Chris for a while, and I had muchly fun flexing my bardic muscles. I was actually pretty pleased with my voice: it was humid, and I didn't need to project far, so I was actually able to perform much longer than I normally would.
This morning, I woke up at 10 to an email telling me that Phil and Mark would be practicing karate in the park, in Verdun, at 10:30. So I resigned myself to being late, showed up at 11:30, trained for an hour, and then headed back here. Now it's time for me to head out yet again. This time, it's for coffee with Trudi, birthday steak with Allan, and tactile-y goodness at Warren's.
I'd hoped to make this post something more interesting than "here's what I did with my day," but t'was not to be. Maybe next time.
