Great time at the party
Jun. 10th, 2007 10:51 amThanks to everyone who came out to Ian's shin-dig yesterday. I had a great time, and I hope you did, too.
Among the highlights:
- Eating far too much food, but it was so good! I sampled some of the wine, mead, and porto, too -- damn the fact that I was driving, I would have loved to have more of that mead!
- Getting a 45-minute massage from Warren while curled up in a bowl chair. Purrrr...
- Getting compliments on my ever-so-dapper white hat. It's been a while that I've been trying to find opportunities to wear it, and I'm glad it works on me.
- Taking pictures of people with Marcee.
- Watching Jon "photo-shoot" his day.
- Speaking with Marc for a half-hour on the phone. Yay for calls from Marc!
- Good conversations with friends, both old and new.
- Seeing people I hadn't seen in months, including almost the whole crop of "sci-fi dads."
- Playing bartender while Ian was off being a social butterfly.
And now, I've got to get myself ready for a tea-tasting seminar. I've got no sense of smell (residuals from being around cats yesterday), but it should be fun anyway.
