A fast post before karate
Apr. 17th, 2007 04:59 pmNo Daily Breadcrumbs today. Maybe tomorrow. Fingers crossed that I get some inspiration in the near future.
Yesterday involved a fast trip to Vanier to drop off my CV to the Human Resources department. While I was there, I tried to see the head of the Learning Centre there, but she was out. I left my CV anyway, and I got an email from her today saying that, while they probably don't need anyone for the summer, they may be interested in hiring me for the fall. Yay for that. More updates as they develop, as always.
Edited to add: I just got off the phone with the head of the Learning Centre. She definitely doesn't have anything for the summer, but she likes me and wants me to call her towards the end of the summer when she knows who's coming back for the fall. So, a bit delayed, but we'll see what happens.
After that, I did some lesson planning and finished just in time for Ian to come over and for us to go up to his parents' place. It was stressful, but at least there was good food involved. Long story short, it looks like I am, in fact, going to Toronto this weekend. That's a bonus to you Toronto people, by the way. Please feel free to take advantage of the short time I'll be there.
Afterwards I swung by Marc's new place for hugs and a bit of Picasso's dinner. Yum!
Today I taught a very well-received lesson (yay!), wrote up an exam I'm giving tomorrow for students who may or may not be there, and now I'm about to head out to karate. Marc should be here by the time I get back or shortly thereafter. I'm trying to capitalize on the short amount of time we've got left. He's leaving on the 28th. Eep! That's less than two weeks!
