Today's breadcrumb is about who did what in the animal sacrifices.

Somehow it seems like I've been having a lot of late nights recently. So, yesterday's gratitude journal:

1. I am grateful for all the teachers who taught classes at the Practicum yesterday.
2. I am grateful for my passengers, Jeanne and Sciath, who kept me awake on the drive home.
3. I am grateful to have seen long-lost friends for the first time in several years.
4. I am grateful for hugs from long-lost friends.
5. I am grateful for potluck desserts.
6. I am grateful for my car, which is 150 km away from the 200,000 km mark.
7. I am grateful for the people who made lunch yesterday, so that I didn't have to.
8. I am grateful for my leather book cover, which is oh so spiffy.
9. I am grateful for Gunnar, who came with 10 kilos of chocolate bars and was eager to share.
10. I am grateful for people who understand why I am so excited about Pennsic, even 6 months ahead of time.
Yesterday saw me awake far earlier than normal, as some of you may have noticed by the time-stamp on yesterday morning's post. But wake I did, dressed, and hit the road, with only a few brief stops to pick up Jeanne and Sciath. We got on the highway at about 8 am, and pulled in to the event site just in time to catch the 10 am classes.

A brief summary of the classes I took yesterday:

Classes are behind here )

Other exciting news:
- Gunnar, a wonderful, wonderful man, brought a bag containing about 22 pounds of chocolate bars. I mentioned that I liked dark chocolate, so he gave me three bars to taste test. Never being one to horde my good fortune, I quickly found a few other people to taste-test with me. Gunnar stopped by as we gave our critiques, and in the end we found ourselves with six bars of chocolate. We divvyed (sp?) them up according to everyone's favourites, and I left with two bars: one a 70% dark chocolate from Cote d'Or and on a 72% from Ghirardelli, both very nummy.

- I saw many people I haven't seen in a long time, some as much as 4 years. Consequently, I got many hugs. Yay hugs!

- I was able to hook up a few people who have very similar interests, and was happy at myself for doing so. I may be able to do the same in the near future: Liam, you'll be getting an email from me in the next few days.

- The dessert pot-luck: SO GOOD! I ate far, far too much sugar. But it was so tasty!

Okay, so that's it for the event. Today: write Daily Breadcrumbs, wash my jeans, go to Simon's vernisage, host Firefly game here. TTFN!
