Today's breadcrumb is about two mysterious parts of the priest's garments: Urim and Thummim (or "the Urim" and "the Thummim"). Anyone know what these things actually are?

So. Yesterday after doing a few scattered job-hunt things in the morning and spending the afternoon with Ian's parents, I took a nap. That's right: I rarely take naps, but 3 1/2 hours of sleep was catching up with me, and I knew I'd have another late night.

Around 10:30, I headed over to the Maz to see "The Remmingtons," the band of Chris the DJ (the guy who runs karaoke Thursday nights). The band consisted of Chris, Jerry, and Phil: the first two on guitar, and the last on guitar and fiddle. Really, really good fiddle. All told, there were about 20 people in the bar, perhaps 6 of which were there for the band. It felt more like a jam session than an actual performance, but given the audience, that was probably okay. All told, it was a fun way to spend a few hours, especially once Ian and Marc arrive. (And, I suspect, bringing the total number of people in the bar under the age of 40 up to three.)

Marc came over. I'm spending a second day in a row with very little sleep. *grin*

Today is party prep for "family dinner part 2," in which the family members who didn't make it to the first dinner are coming. Joyous.

So that's it for now. TTFN!
