Operation "less stress" in full swing
Jan. 4th, 2007 12:20 pmI decided last night that, instead of the insane amounts of planning I'd put in for the first two days of teaching, I would do far less for today. I picked the pages I wanted to use from the textbook, went over them briefly to know what the heck I was supposed to be doing, and left it at that. I did a bit more work this morning before class. Figure total time was about one hour for a three-hour class.
Class actually went incredibly smoothly. With no pre-planned notes of "I must get this section done in 10 minutes," I took my time and improvised when need be. All things considered, I think it went quite well. I am also more confident in my ability to fill 3 hours of time tomorrow, despite only doing about 3 pages from the textbook.
I will post today's breadcrumb when I get home later this evening. Unfortunately, it's on my home computer and I didn't have a chance to post it this morning. Alas, you'll all just have to suffer.
For now, I'm going to (perhaps) do some reading, maybe meet some friends this evening, and probably do karate. Maz may or may not be on the agenda for later tonight. I'm a woman with firm plans, can't you tell? *grin*
Cheers!
