This past year has been a momentous one. Arguably the most important event within it was the attainment of my M.A. and my decision not to pursue a PhD. Though many people will agree that this is a significant life event, most people will not realize quite how significant it was. That is because most people don't know how I've thought about my life until now.

The thought continues behind the lj-cut. Be warned: it's long. )

All right. Enough late-night rambling for me. Good night, everyone.
Today's essay in Daily Breadcrumbs (a day late, sorry) is about the Israelites' constantly changing attitude towards Moses and Aaron.

So, just a routine post this morning. I did karate last night, and the class had a mere two people in it: a brown belt and I. This meant that I got a lot more attention from the sensei than I otherwise might, and consequently I learnt an entire new kata. I am pleased at this. The kata is not particularly long, and uses a number of techniques from my old style (though they are the first time I'm encountering them in this style). I learned it fairly quickly. Yay.

Today, I'm doing a huge movie marathon with my dad and brother. We're going to pop in the extended editions of the LotR movies and watch until we can't watch no more. Should be fun.

That's it for now. TTFN, everyone!
