Day of unplanned excitement

I hadn't planned to do much today. When I woke up (late, as usual on the weekends), my plan was to do laundry and perhaps go to the library to get research done. And until about 1 pm, my day was indeed quite boring.

( Then my day got interesting. Be warned, I ramble when I'm tired, so this is long. )

And that was my day. It's later than I wanted it to be, but it's been worth it. And now, to check my email and go to bed. G'night all.

Two morning thoughts

1. It's always annoying to get to the end of an article and still have absolutely no idea what it was about. I hate academese.

2. I miss reading for pleasure. I don't think I've read a single book all semester that hasn't been assigned for a class. The same was true for most of the school year last year.
