Once upon a time...

Today I caved in and spent more money than I should have at Valet de Coeur buying Once Upon a Time, as well as the expasion Dark Times. Played with Ian and Kyn tonight and got my ass handed to me, but that's okay. I think I'm going to start playing solitaire, just as an exercise in creativity and quick thinking. The idea will be: draw one ending card and a number of regular cards (probably 5-10, chosen beforehand). Then, on the spot, make up a story connecting all elements, finishing with the ending. If anyone is interested, I'll post results here.

I also had tea and orgasm cake with Yan today. Mmm.... orgasm cake. It's been WAY too long. I got myself caught up on the Dark Ages game enough to do a few very long posts (in French!) on the forum tonight. It's a shame I'll have to leave it: it's a damned good game.

Tomorrow I'm probably going pants-shopping with my mom. (Who, incidentally, has decided she wants to come down to TO and help me get set up. I'm still not sure how I feel about this.) Fun, fun, fun.

Now it's much later than I wanted to go to bed, so I'm going to sleep. G'night!

The spoils of war

Went shopping with my mom today. Four hours later, I have several bags full of Stuff (tm). Among the spoils: two pairs of black pants (one is velvet!), one fuzzy bathrobe, a case for my computer, 50 blank CD-Rs, various and sundry school supplies.

Now that you have all been enlightened as to my consumerism, something completely different: perhaps the longest quiz I've ever done, a quintessential "I am at work and have nothing to do for the next hour" sort of thing. It should only be read by the incurably bored. It won't cure your boredom, but at least it will occupy some time, and perhaps some of my answers will be amusing. Stolen from Yan and translated to English. Occasionally I did not know words, and I was too lazy to look them up. If you don't like it, it's your own problem. Find your own dictionary.
