Back online, baby!
Jul. 25th, 2005 11:46 pmMy internet connection came back online about five minutes before I needed to leave for work. Oh, Gods, why do you tempt me this way???
Work was work. Despite working half-days, I still find myself with periods when I don't have anything to do. So today I wrote up a fairly long background for a character I'm playing on Saturday. Incidentally, if anyone knows where I can get a cheap-ish rosary (or even just a small crucifix), please let me know.
Came home, chillaxed for the afternoon, and then got a call from Tarius (
crazyroman) asking if I wanted to have dinner. A bit of phone-tag later, plans were a go. Dinner was great, conversation was lovely. Tarius is a little further along in the SCA than I am, but not by all that much, and we've had somewhat similar experiences.
After that, over to Ian's for shisha and a movie. I left about 20 minutes into the movie because I was tired -- I blame shisha.
Now I'm home and turn into a pumpkin at midnight so that I can get to work tomorrow, bright and chipper. My boss is taking his two-week vacation next week, so I'll be the accounts payable department until he gets back. This intimidates me somewhat, because I know I don't know everything yet, most importantly how to print checks. Sigh. Ah well. All will work itself out, I'm sure.
Now, to bed! Good-night all!
