All right, last night was Orpheus. Which means (cue drumroll) the latest Crucible Adventure! Click to read on, but be warned, it's a long one this week. Kyn, I expect lots of backrubs when you get back to town.

Orpheus: the Action Adventure, part 35 )

So that was Orpheus this week. Who says we never do anything?

Excerpt from today's Gazette, letters to the editor (A26), letter by Paul Kokoski, "Suppression of religious liberty is next" (a comment about the recent supreme court decision about same-sex marriage):

"The family is the fundamental cell of society. The family -- and through it, all human society -- has its source and origin in marriage. Marriage is still ordered for the procreation and education of offspring. As the basic expression of man's social nature, marriage can be understood only as the lawful union of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others.

"The court's decision to champion individual rights over collective morality in this instance will likely lead to an unprecedented and rapid deterioration of family life in general.
"

See my rant about this letter. )

Sorry. I just hate people who don't seem to think about what they're saying, and who think that because something is the norm now means: a) it has always been that way, and b) it is the best way.

Can you tell I've been writing essays for the past several weeks?
