Cruelly murdered, otherwise a great day

Be warned: I'm tired so this post rambles. To the anonymous poster from yesterday: you might want to stop here and go look at Foamy now. Anyone still interested, read on!
Today began with a trip to Massey and thence off to the Kensington market to go shopping. As I mentioned in my last post, it was stunningly gorgeous today, enough that I just wore a light sweater instead of my winter jacket. I bought my gloves fairly early on in the day, and they are Spiffy. They will definitely be useable in future circumstances. Incidentally, I needed to remind myself every 15 seconds or so, "even though this nifty thing would make a fantastic larp prop, I shoudn't buy it right now!"
On the other hand, I discovered an utterly fantastic store called "Courage My Love" which has, among other things, loads of beads and buttons. I wish I knew about this place when I was making Isabelle's sweater.
From there, I went *back* to Massey. My main purpose was to do some work, my secondary purpose was to kill Creon. Lo and behold, I found Creon sitting alone in the quad. This was my big chance! I started walking nonchallantly into the quad... only to have other game players appear from the other end. Understand that according to the rules of Murder, you can only kill another player if there are no other living players present in the same room. Dead players and non-players are okay. This is important. Please keep it in mind.
So, other players had arrived on the scene, and I could no longer kill my victim. By the time they had left, Creon's short-term ally Arjun had returned, and my chance had slipped away. MY short-term ally, Noam, joined the three of us as Creon began discussing a possible four-way alliance. Noam (knowing Creon was my victim) and I rubbed our metaphorical hands with glee and waited for our chance.
Soon after, Arjun went off, promising to be back soon. Noam was on the point of leaving as well, which would give me my big chance for Murder... when Creon went off with Arjun as well. Drat and curses! He'd left his bag, though, which meant he'd be back soon. So Noam and I waited, soon to be joined by Martin, another game player. Now, Martin was in fact dead, but neither Noam nor I knew this. (Our own fault, really. Those pesky dead people never know when to stop moving. We should have been more vigilant.)
With this false opinion in mind, Noam went off briefly, leaving Martin and I in the quad. (Remember, if he'd been alive, I wouldn't have been able to be killed by a third party.) Out from the other end of the quad walks Brian, yet another game-player. Standing halfway across the quad, I say jokingly, "so, are you going to murder me?" He laughs, says something noncomittal, and starts walking towards us nonchallantly. It was then I learned that Martin was, in fact, dead, as Brian sauntered over, placed a hand on my shoulder, and killed me. Thus, at 2:20 pm, ended my brief stint in murder, mayhem, chaos, andworld Massey domination. I was #18 to be killed.
I had some brief satisfaction in knowing that Brian subsequently killed Creon, barely an hour later. As of 4 pm, Brian himself was still not dead.
After being so mercilessly killed, I went to watch a friend of mine play varisty volleyball. Our team won handily. Go us! From there, I swung by the World's Biggest Bookstore. Thankfully for my wallet, I didn't find anything that called out to be mine.
It was now about 5:30 pm, and the total schoolwork I'd done for the day was 10 pages of reading. By the time I finished supper, it was 6 o'clock, and I decided to get cracking. So, since then, I've read about 30 pages of an article for Sacred Spaces, 20 pages of Bernardus Silvestris, and have a list of Latin words to look up. This is probably my longest list to date, at 140 words. On the other hand, our readings for Monday are also the longest to date, at 143 lines, so this actually works out to less than a word a line. But still.... I may need to break this up into smaller segments or risk my brain frying.
It's now 10:30 on my computer's clock. My plan for the rest of the night is todo a brief trip to Timmys, come back, stay home and translate Latin words for a while. Then, sleep. Tomorrow is laundry and lots of schoolwork, and possibly dinner with my Toronto family (depending on the state of schoolwork).
G'night all!
