Room hydration techniques update
#1: Operation "bowl with water in it" -- Failure, no difference in humidity levels.
#2: Operation "wet towels over the radiator" -- Failure, 3% increase in humidity, within normal variance for the room.
#3: Operation "where the [explitive deleted] is the humidifyer?" -- In progress
#3b: Operation "humidifyer in room" -- To be implemented in the near future
... Have I mentioned my room is really dry?
In other news, I've gone through my Avatar CD and now need to get Eric to burn me the next few episodes. (Eric, I know you're reading this -- fair warning.) Stupid cliffhangers. I'm really enjoying season 2, though. Lots of very nice character development, along with Avatar's signature comedy. I love Saka.
Christmas Parties vs. Weight: I've had two Christmas parties this week, and I've got another one tomorrow. The upside: lots of really good food. (The party at ELAM had a chocolate fountain!) The bad news: I've gained a pound and a half. Sigh. Right, time to dial down the partying just a bit until I get back to where I was. I know this may seem obsessive to some people, but it's the way I've been able to maintain my new, skinny weight for a year and a half, so I'm going to go with it. I'm hardly going to be denying myself, so don't worry on that count. I fully intend to have everything the holidays can dish out (pun intended), but perhaps in slightly smaller portions. (On the other hand, my red shirt looks damned sexy, if-I-do-say-so-myself.)
Kyn's Cafe: When to Kyn's cafe on Thursday. Saw Pat briefly, Kyn for somewhat longer. Kyn came up with the masterful plan posting a sign on his window saying (in French) "Thursday special: Free lattes." Well, that got people coming in, for sure. (The milk was going bad in 4 days, anyway.) My fingers are crossed that you get a huge customer base soon, Kyn!
Relationships: I've been having an awesome time with Marc lately. I'm so lucky.
Broken Circadian Clock?: My body has, for most of the last week, been telling me, in no uncertain terms, to be in bed by 10:30. Even when I'm well-rested. This is getting ridiculous. C'mon, body, wake up!
Money: Despite the trip to Toronto, my money situation isn't doing too badly. I'm almost back on track for where I should be at this time of the month. On the other hand, I've got to renew my LJ membership within the next 10 days or I lose all my Europe pics, and I am not recoding the Europe journal webpage again. Oh, and I don't work again until at least late January, possibly as late as Febuary. And I need to pay for tuition and books. But other than that, doing fine. (Sigh.)
Right. Enough of that. Time to get dressed and get driving.
